Who We Are
The dynamic new design brand Geotoni was born of the technical and artistic collaboration between Geovani Prado and Antonio Aroso Machado.
Geovani, with his practical and functional vision, adds value to Antonio’s artistic sense and long experience in interior design.

Geovani Prado is a Brazilian artist and designer with a background in philosophy, he brings a deep appreciation of natural beauty to his hand-made pieces. Organic and spontaneous forms are integrated with technology, to produce objects that are both practical and artistic.
Antonio is a Porto-trained artist and architect, who has gathered inspiration from his travels all over the world. His gift for drawing and painting manifested itself at an early age, but it was as an adult, in the studio, that his unique design talent emerged and matured.
Aesthetic sensitivity and perfectionism are characteristics that are reflected in the design pieces they develop together
Objectives
The brand’s principles of development are domestic production and the use of raw materials with smaller ecological footprints, primarily from local sources and partner companies throughout Portugal.
The design pieces that are already part of the Geotoni line are the result of the careful choice of materials and production methods that aim for originality, functionality, comfort and waste reduction.
The use of unusual natural stone, organic shapes and textures that appear hand-sculpted exemplifies the timelessness and boldness that are the brand’s hallmarks.
Solid stone blocks, not normally used in furniture because of their weight, are an integral part of Geotini tables. The materiality of the stone calls to mind sculpture, enabling each piece to be considered a work of art, without sacrificing functionality.

“We started in an almost abandoned warehouse in Matosinhos. After we finished work on the space itself, between tables full of handmade drawings and a workshop cluttered with old parts and tools, prototypes of design pieces began to emerge. From customer requests and our own design ideas, the first pieces in what would become the Geotoni brand came into being.”
